Clinton Engineering specializes in design-build, new construction, rehabilitation, turn-key metal buildings, and renovation of commercial, industrial, and municipal projects. Linwood Mining originally operated as an open-cut limestone quarry. However, because of demand for the uniqueness and high purity of the company’s limestone and exceptionally pure calcium carbonate, mining was extended to an underground operation. As demand for Linwood’s products increased through the years, the company introduced new equipment and technology to accommodate expansion of the mines and meet customer requirements.
Linwood supplies customers with a complete line of calcium carbonate, lime products, and aggregates that meet their individual specifications.
In addition, a proven limestone reserve of more than 400 million tons assures that Linwood will operate at high capacity levels into the 22nd century.
AMSCO takes in approved customer by-products and processes them to make a flowable fill. The fill is injected into abandoned sections of old underground mine workings to stabilize those areas for the long term.

At Blackheart Slag, we process steel slag, which is a byproduct from making steel, crushing and screening it to make aggregate chips and sand for asphalt. Much of the slag begins life as lime which is sold to SSAB by Linwood for the purification of the steel.
Approximately 80% of our product is produced to go into SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) hot mix asphalt.
